Opening Keynote Address: Technology is the Easy Part: Becoming a High Performance Organization
Speaker: Kathy Starkoff, CIO,The Ohio State University
Of the three components of a successful IT organization – people, process, and technology – many would be surprised to learn that technology is the easy part. In 2008, The Ohio State University embarked on a journey to transform into a high performance organization by focusing extensive efforts on transforming our people and processes. Discussion focused on embarking on this journey, her organization's challenges, and the roadmap the organization has put in place to achieve its goal.

Breakout Session: Overview of Cloud Computing
Speaker: Ron Savoia, Founder, Managing Partner, Stratus Innovations Group
Cloud Computing seems to be the "next big thing" in Information Technology, but what exactly is Cloud Computing, and is it hype or business value? Ron provided a high-level overview of Cloud Computing and presented areas that a nonprofit organization can see technical and financial business value from a Cloud Computing implementation.

Breakout Session: Generations & Giving: State of Life Factors in Philanthropy
Speaker: Terry Schavone, Senior Vice President, Donor Services and Development, The Columbus Foundation
An overview of the five living generations and the differences among them, the workshop looked at four primary individual sources of major gifts of $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, $500,000 or $1 million or more and analyzeed an age and wealth matrix to describe stage of life factors and their role in major gift philanthropy.

Breakout Session: Advanced Cloud: OpportunITy in the Cloud
Speaker: Tom Walters, Manager, Infrastructure Solutions, Quick Solutions
An introduction to Microsoft Online services, the presentation covered Online Services Features and Requirements, Cloud Identity Management and Access Control, Subscription Plans and Licensing, Content Migration, and Rich Coexistence. Discover how taking some or all of your services to the cloud can be beneficial to your organization.

Breakout Session: Technology Planning
Speaker: Ramona Swayne, VP, Operations, Alvis House
Alvis House, winner of the 2011 GWg Nonprofit IT Creativity Award for Technology Maturity, shared the process they underwent to develop an IT Master Plan. The workshop covered the basic components of an IT Plan and how it can be utilized as a strategic management tool to support agency programs and to improve data management and security.
